Hope you all had some time to get some rest
after last weekend's shows. It's back to work on Thursday. Crew call is
6 p.m.
Thank you to all the parents who supplied
snacks and drinks for our crew last weekend. They really appreciated
it. If you haven't had a chance to bring in anything yet, feel free to
do so this week. (See note below for details.)
Here are a few more notes to keep in mind as
we prepare for our second and final weekend ... PLEASE
TAKE THE TIME TO READ THROUGH THESE CAREFULLY.
Cast/Crew Party ... No
one (cast or crew) will be allowed at the Cast/Crew Party unless they
have returned their permission form and payment. NO EXCEPTIONS. Forms
were handed out at rehearsals and are available in the folder under
the bulletin board in the workshop or on the website (www.gamstheatre.org,
click on "Forms"). Forms and payment were supposed to be MAILED back
to Mrs. Drennon (address on the form) by last weekend.
FOOD, Glorious Food ...
Parents, our tech crew students LOVE to eat and drink. We welcome any
and all donations of snacks and drinks (preferably water). If you would
like to donate something for our crew, please bring it to the backstage
workshop. Snacks will also be available for purchase (for cast and crew)
in the hallway for 25 cents. Water can be purchased for 50 cents.
No food is allowed in the stage area ... only
water.
RECYCLE Your Cans and Bottles
... New York State now charges a 5 cent deposit for water bottles as
well as pop bottles and cans. Please DO NOT throw out your water
bottles (even the ones from dinner). We will have separate bags or
boxes in the workshop to collect them (one for water, one for soft
drinks). Please put them there. We'll use the deposit money to buy more
water or snacks for the crew.
Keeping healthy ... Please
be sure to label your water bottles and drinks. Hand sanitizer will be
available in the workshop. Please use before eating.
Dress ... remember to dress
in black from top to bottom, including shoes and socks. Don't forget to
wear your "Oliver!" Tech Crew wristband. That will get you into the
backstage area.
Crew Call ... Crew should
be at the theater by 6 p.m. for the Thursday and Friday shows; 12:30 for
the Saturday matinee; and 6 p.m. for the Saturday evening show ...
unless your crew manager tells you differently.
Between Saturday Shows ...
if you are working both Saturday shows, you MUST stay at the theater.
If you did not order a meal, then please be sure to bring your own.
Emergency Contact ...
Students must turn off their cell phones during the performances. If
there's an emergency and you need to get a hold of a tech crew student,
call Chuck Fulkerson, backstage safety coordinator, at 752-3130.
Crew Meetings ... we'll
have one before every show to go over last minute details,
announcements and safety information. All backstage crews (stage,
props, lighting) should be there.
Absence ... if you cannot
work on your scheduled time because of illness or a last minute
problem, be sure to contact your crew coordinator (Jonathan or
Stephanie for stage crew; Mrs. Handley or Mrs. Bopp for props; Alec
for lighting).

The day we've all been waiting for has
finally arrived. The high school show closed on Feb. 6. The Oliver! set

students on TUESDAY, February 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. A complete
construction schedule for the week is listed below. Remember, any
students who are working on a back stage crew (stage crew, lighting

work by Feb. 20. If you haven't
already been working with costumes or props, this week is the time to
get to work.

accompanied by an adult when working at school
on set construction, painting or lighting.
